Radiology is a medical specialty that uses various imaging technologies to diagnose and treat diseases. Using this method, the internal organs are visualized, and diseases could be diagnosed easily.

The department is divided into interventional and diagnostic radiology. Interventional radiology is the department where procedures such as stent application, intravenous imaging, feeding tube insertion, and biopsy procedures are performed mostly for patients who cannot undergo open surgery. Interventional radiology is a sub-branch of radiology that is most useful in angiography procedures.
