Places to visit in Elazig;

First day

After breakfast in Kultur Park, which is the biggest recreation area of Elazig, you should go to Harput. Here, Harput Castle and the Virgin Mary Church, one of the oldest places of worship in Anatolia still in use, should be seen. Afterwards, you should visit the historical Harput Ulu Mosque and Şefik Gül Culture House and witness the architecture and culture of the region. Another historical building, Kurşunlu Mosque, should be visited and rested under the shade of the monumental plane trees in its garden. Afterwards, you should watch the panoramic view of Harput from the observation terrace in the Balak Gazi Monument and the park with the same name, and take a break for the local Çedene Kahvesi. After Harput, go to Keban district and have lunch with the trout raised here, accompanied by the natural beauty of Çırçır Waterfall. Then, you should go to the city center and visit the Grand Bazaar and Bakırcılar Bazaar as the last activity of the day. Elazig folk songs should be listened to at the famous Kürsübaşı Nights.

The second day

After having breakfast in Eskibağlar vineyard, you should take a boat tour in Hazar Lake and see the famous Sunken City. Hazarbaba Ski Center should be visited and skiing and sled enjoyment in winter, paragliding, trekking and paragliding activities should be done in spring or summer. From here, you should go to Palu and enjoy the local delicacies such as Palu pan, kellecoş, Harput meatballs, stuffed kofic for lunch. You should cross the historical Palu Bridge on the Murat River, see the Palu Castle and the Palu Urartian Inscription. Then you should visit Palu Ulu Mosque, Palu Historical Church, Turkish bath and mosque ruins. Alternatively, trekking should be done in the Saklıkapı Canyon in Baskil district, up to the banks of the Euphrates. Then, you should sail to Black Stork Canyon by boat on the Euphrates River, while enjoying the magnificent view, while observing the rare black storks. For dinner, you should go to Kömürhan to taste the famous Kömürhan roast.
