Popular places to visit in Tokat;

First day

On the first day of Tokat, you can first visit the Tokat Museum to explore the city and understand its history better. From here, you can stop by Sulu Sokak, which is right across the museum, and you can see the historical Tokat houses here. Then you can see the Hıdırlık Bridge, a work of Seljuk period, which has become one of the symbols of the city. You can stop by Gök Medrese, which has the characteristics of Anatolian Seljuk architecture and used as a bimarhane and a healing house, then take a lunch break and eat a trial kebab. After dinner, you can go to Taşhan, one of the biggest inns of Anatolia.

Byzantine Emperor Romanos Diogenes and III. You can see Tokat Castle, where Vlad was imprisoned, also known as Dracula, from anywhere in the city. Finally, you can visit the Tokat Clock Tower and the surrounding Bey Street and the Mevlevihane Museum, and end the day with a coffee in the bazaar.

The second day

First of all, you can set out for Zile to see the Zile Castle, which the Roman Emperor Julius Caesar called "Veni Vidi Vici (I Came, I Seen, I Conquered)" to herald his victory after the Battle of Zela. After this visit, you can visit Kaz Lake and Mahperi Hatun Caravanserai in Pazar district, and Ballıca Cave, which is famous for its stalactites and stalagmites and is included in the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List. On your way back to Tokat city center, you can try stuffed broad beans during your lunch break. After exploring the historical trade center of Tokat, Deveciler Han, Yağı Basan Madrasa, Suluhan, Paşa Han with a short walk after dinner, you can visit Latifoğlu Mansion, Gök Madrasa, and take a boat tour in Yeşilırmak. If you want to spend time alone with nature at the end of the day, you can go to Kaz Lake.
